MCCL Challenge

Starts: Jan 13, 2016 @ 5:00 PM

It's time for the 2016 MCCL Challenge where kids 10 years and younger challenge our community and business leaders to a chess match.  If our kids win, businesses and sponsors donate to the Madison City Chess League, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization promoting chess education in the North Alabama area.  You can register your child to represent MCCL if he or she will be 10 years of age or younger on Jan. 13, 2016.  You can register your company as a sponsor and pledge to donate if your adult player loses (see donation levels below).  Companies that sponsor may select an adult employee to play in the match or can choose to sponsor another adult or community leader who has agreed to play in the match.

Donation Levels

Grandmaster: $3000 and above

International Master:  $1000-2,999

FIDE Master:  $500-$999

Master:  $100-$499

You can also decide to just donate any amount you wish using our Donation option.

The number of students selected for the MCCL Challenge will depend on the number of adults registered to play and their relative skill level.  Students whose families have renewed their MCCL family memberships will receive priority over non-member students.  You will be notified via email in January if your child has been selected to represent MCCL at this event.

Registration is Now Open.
